PenaShield Wood Fungicide Termiticide & Preservative

PenaShield is a borate-based wood preservative that helps protect wood from wood destroying organisms like termites and wood boring beetles and helps prevent wood decay and dry rot. PenaShield has to be applied to bare wood, if wood is sealed or painted the finish must be removed before application.

PenaShield is great for treating decks, it can be applied to pressure treated wood and to older decks after they have been cleaned and before staining, sealing or painting. PenaShield can also be applied to roofs after old shingles have been removed. PenaShield is perfect for fencing, wooden play structures, outdoor sheds and anywhere you want wood to last.

• PenaShield will last for the life of the wood indoors. Outside, PenaShield will last as long as an applied water repellent is maintained. If the outdoor wood is not sealed or painted, additional PenaShield applications will be needed every 1-5 years.
• PenaShield emits no VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
• One gallon of PenaShield will treat approximately 150-250 square feet of wood, depending on the wood’s porosity and surface texture.
• PenaShield will not stain or discolor wood; once dry, the wood can be painted or treated with a water sealer, stained or varnished.
